Many believers go through deliverance sessions and walk away confused, frustrated, and discouraged. They prayed. They fasted. They rebuked. Yet nothing seemed to change.

The question becomes: Why didn’t it work?

The issue is never God’s power. The problem is usually process, understanding, or persistence. Scripture shows us that deliverance is real, but it must be approached biblically and responsibly.

Below are three key reasons deliverance often fails—and how to experience lasting freedom.

1. You Didn’t Deal With the Door That Gave Access

Deliverance is not just about casting something out. It is about understanding how it got in.

Think of it like a thief breaking into your house. You may remove the intruder, but if you never identify whether the door or window was left open, the thief can return.

The same principle applies spiritually.

Many believers focus on identifying the name of a spirit, but names do not reveal access. The real issue is identifying the sin, iniquity, or agreement that gave the enemy legal ground.

Was it idolatry? Witchcraft? Sexual immorality? Rebellion? unforgiveness?

Jesus made it clear that unclean spirits return to places that remain open (Matthew 12:43–45). Until the door is closed, freedom cannot be sustained.

2. You Stopped Too Soon

Another major reason deliverance fails is that people stop too early.

Deliverance is often progressive, not instantaneous. Many believers assume that if there is no immediate manifestation or relief, nothing is happening. That is not always true.

Demons are stubborn. They resist. They delay. They fight to remain.

Scripture reminds us that victory comes through persistence, faith, and proper application of Christ’s authority. Remember Daniel and his persistent prayer and fasting brought

spiritual breakthrough.

3. You Reopened the Door After Deliverance

This point connects directly to the first.

Many believers receive partial freedom, only to unknowingly reopen the same door that gave access in the first place.

For example, watching content that violates Scripture—such as violence, sexual immorality, or occult themes—can reopen doors to the enemy.

Scripture is clear:

“I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes.” (Psalm 101:3)

Hollywood normalizes sin, but spiritual law remains unchanged. What violates God’s Word gives the enemy legal ground.

Exposure is not harmless. What you allow before your eyes can shape your spirit.

The Good News: Closing the Door Is Simpler Than You Think

Many believers fear deliverance because they think fixing the door is complicated. Scripture says otherwise.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

Confession closes doors.

If sexual immorality brought access, confess it. If disobedience opened the door, repent. If sin produced a curse or sickness, confess both the sin and renounce the effect.

Deliverance may not always happen in a single moment, but once confession and cleansing take place, the grip weakens.

Jesus also taught:

“This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:21)

Persistence produces freedom.

Final Encouragement

Deliverance is not about fear. It is about alignment.

When doors are closed, authority is applied, and persistence is maintained, freedom follows.

You do not have to live bound. You do not have to live confused. Freedom is your inheritance in Christ.

Deliverance works when done God’s way.

Fight With Your Words

The Real Reason Many Believers Lose Spiritual Battles

Because many of us are carnal-minded, we try to fight spiritual warfare with carnal weapons. We try to solve spiritual problems with natural thinking, natural strategies, and natural reactions. But the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. When you bring carnal tools into a spiritual fight, you are already at a disadvantage.

Most of us grew up in a world where we were either not exposed to spiritual things at all, or, if we were exposed, we were taught wrongly. That kind of upbringing lays a faulty foundation. And in the heat of spiritual conflict, we naturally fall back on that foundation. We default to what our minds and upbringing trained us to do, not what the Word of God teaches us to do.

The result is simple: we lose many spiritual battles, not because God’s power is weak, but because we insist on using the wrong weapons.

Wrong Weapons, Guaranteed Defeat

Imagine going to sea and choosing a flamethrower as your weapon in case a shark attacks you. That is a completely inappropriate weapon for that environment. No matter how powerful the flamethrower looks, it is useless in that scenario.

That is exactly what happens when we step into spiritual warfare with carnal weapons. We may feel prepared, we may feel intense, but we are still using the wrong tools. We war in our emotions, our intellect, our arguments, our complaints, our frustrations. But though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.

The Sword of the Spirit Is Wielded by Your Words

So how do we actually fight in the spirit? With the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. But the Sword of the Spirit is not just something you admire silently; it is wielded by the spoken word. You do not fight in silence. You fight with your words.

Many believers have heard this concept before, but the real question is: do you truly understand it? Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit…”. Words are not empty sounds floating in the air. They are spirit. The spirit of your words wrestles against the unclean spirits that come up against you.

This means every time you open your mouth in faith and speak according to the Word of God, you are engaging in spiritual wrestling. You are not just “saying something positive”; you are releasing spiritual force.

Why Your Declarations Often Fail

This is why the Bible tells us, “Let the weak say, I am strong.” The instruction is not for the weak to recite a long speech; it is to say a simple, focused declaration: “I am strong.” When you say “I AM STRONG,” the spirit behind those words wrestles against the spirit of weakness.

However, many believers lose this battle of words. Not because the Word is weak, but because we speak half-heartedly. We may say the right thing once or twice, then stop. We quit too early.

Think of a wrestler who steps onto the mat against a strong opponent. His first attempt to take his opponent down may not work. Often it takes a series of moves, pressure, and persistence before the opponent is worn down or makes a mistake. What matters is not whether the takedown happens on the first attempt, but that the wrestler does not stop until he wins. If even the greatest wrestler quits after a few failed attempts, he will still lose.

That is how many of us operate with our words. We start declaring, we start resisting, we start speaking—but when we do not see immediate change, we back off. We stop before the victory. The problem is not that “this doesn’t work.” The problem is that we didn’t stay in the fight long enough.

“Fight With Your Words”: A Personal Wake-Up Call

This concept became much clearer after a season of fasting. In that time, I came under attack in a dream. I was physically wrestling with devils, and by God’s mercy I overcame them in the dream. But when I woke up, a thought hit me sharply: “If only I could win these spiritual battles while awake.”

Right at that moment, as if in direct response to that thought, came a simple directive: “Fight with your words.” It was not that I had never used my words before in spiritual warfare. I had. But I often stopped short—stopped before the victory was fully manifested.

That realization was confronting. The problem wasn’t a lack of speaking; it was a lack of persistence. I was dropping the weapon mid-fight.

Do Not Drop Your Weapon Mid-Battle

If your words are spirit, and the spirit of your words wrestles against unclean spirits, then every time you stop speaking, you stop wrestling. You may be one declaration away from the turning point, but if you quit, you hand the ground back to the enemy.

So if you know you are weak, do not just analyze your weakness—say, “I am strong.” If you know you are under attack, do not just describe the attack—speak the truth of God’s Word over it. But most importantly, do not stop. Do not treat spiritual warfare like a one-time chant. Treat it as a sustained fight.

Conclusion: Stay in the Fight of Words

Spiritual warfare is real, and carnal thinking will not win it. You have been given a weapon that operates in the spiritual realm: the Word of God, spoken in faith. Your words are not empty; they carry spirit. They wrestle. They confront. They push back darkness.

But victory belongs to those who refuse to stop mid-fight. Do not lay down your words after a few attempts. Pick them up, wield them, and keep striking until the battle turns.

If you are under spiritual attack, the first thing you want to know is how to identify it. Many believers search for a list—five signs, seven indicators, ten symptoms—but lists will never be exhaustive. The enemy attacks from many angles and in many forms. Instead of depending solely on a list, the believer’s true discernment comes from understanding the Word of God and comparing the manifestations in your life with what God has spoken.

The question is simple: Is what you are seeing in your life aligned with the Word of God, or is it out of line? Anything out of alignment is often a sign of spiritual attack.

1. Why Alignment With God’s Word Matters

From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals His will for His people. When we walk in obedience, we experience His blessing, protection, and covering. When we walk in disobedience, rebellion, or compromise, we open doors to the enemy.

This principle is clear in the Old Testament. In Deuteronomy 7:12–15, God promised Israel perfect health, protection, and blessing—if they obeyed His commandments. But when Israel turned to idolatry, witchcraft, and rebellion, sickness and destruction followed. These were not random events; they were consequences of being out of alignment with God.

2. A Biblical Example: Balaam, Balak, and the Open Door

Numbers 23–25 gives a clear example of spiritual warfare and open doors. Balak, king of Moab, feared Israel and hired Balaam to curse them. Despite popular belief, Balaam was not a witch doctor or sorcerer—he was a Gentile prophet who loved money more than righteousness (2 Peter 2:15).

When Balaam attempted to curse Israel, God stopped him. Why? Because, as Balaam declared, “I have not observed iniquity in Jacob, nor seen perverseness in Israel.” There was no open door. No legal ground for the enemy to attack.

But in Numbers 25, Israel sinned. They were enticed into idolatry and sexual immorality. Suddenly, destruction came. A plague broke out. Judgment fell. It was later revealed in Revelation 2:14 that Balaam himself taught Balak how to make Israel fall—by getting them to break covenant with God.

The lesson: The enemy attacks where there is an open door.

3. Common Areas the Enemy Attacks

The devil comes “to steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10). So when you look at your life, ask yourself: what is being stolen, what is being killed, and what is being destroyed?

• Your Health

God’s desire is for His people to walk in health (3 John 1:2). When sickness becomes persistent or recurring, it is often a sign of spiritual attack—especially when it disrupts your purpose, ministry, or ability to obey God.

• Your Finances

God promises provision, blessing, and sufficiency. Chronic lack, constant financial warfare, or repeated losses can indicate an attack meant to hinder your assignment or rob your peace.

• Your Marriage and Relationships

Division, strife, confusion, and threats of divorce are never God’s will (Malachi 2:16). The enemy aims to destroy covenant relationships because he knows unity carries power.

• Your Family and Fruitfulness

Barrenness, miscarriage, repeated family upheavals, and cycles of destruction often reveal targeted spiritual warfare.

4. How to Discern the Signs of a Spiritual Attack

Instead of waiting for a list, ask:

Is this situation aligned with God’s Word?

Does this reflect life, peace, blessing, and fruitfulness?

Or does it reflect stealing, killing, and destroying?

Spiritual attacks always aim to disrupt God’s plan for your life. They target health, finances, fruitfulness, unity, purpose, and identity.

Conclusion: Examine the Areas Under Attack

The signs of a spiritual attack become clear when you compare your life to the Word of God. Anything out of alignment—anything that steals, kills, or destroys—is a sign that the enemy is at work.

But you were not created to live defeated. You were created to walk in victory, authority, and freedom in Christ.

Take inventory. Close the doors. Stand in the authority Jesus gave you.

Many believers love God, pray, and seek Him sincerely—but live defeated simply because they do not understand spiritual warfare. Ignorance doesn’t make the war go away; it just makes us vulnerable to attacks we were already empowered to win.

The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).
Spiritual warfare is one of those areas where lack of knowledge makes even strong Christians feel powerless.

What Is Spiritual Warfare?

The term “spiritual warfare” is simply a human phrase used to describe the battles taking place in the unseen realm. Scripture reveals these conflicts clearly:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places”
(Ephesians 6:12).

Your life is affected by things happening beyond the natural world—whether you understand them or not.

Daniel’s Delayed Answer: A Biblical Picture of Warfare

Look at Daniel’s experience.

Daniel fasted for 21 days for an answer from God (Daniel 10). When the angel finally appeared, he said:

“From the first day you set your heart to understand… your words were heard.”

Daniel’s answer was released on day one—yet he waited three weeks.

Why?

“The prince of Persia withstood me for twenty-one days.”

A demonic principality resisted the angel sent with the answer.

Think about this carefully:

God answered immediately.

The manifestation was delayed.

The delay came from spiritual resistance, not God.

Now imagine you praying for:

Deliverance

Financial breakthrough

Your family’s salvation

Restoration in marriage

Direction from God

You pray… you wait… and you assume God is silent.

But what if the answer is already released, and the delay is because the enemy is resisting the manifestation?

If you don’t understand this, you may accept defeat God never intended for you.

Moses, Joshua, and the Invisible Battle

Another clear picture appears in Exodus 17.

Israel fought against Amalek. Joshua was on the battlefield—but the real battle was happening in the spirit.

The Bible says:

When Moses’ hands were raised, Israel prevailed.

When his hands lowered, the enemy prevailed.

This was a physical war, but the outcome depended on spiritual posture.

So Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ hands until victory was secured.

The principle is simple:

Your physical battles are often determined by spiritual conditions.

You may be facing something today where:

God has already given you authority

Victory is already yours

The outcome is being influenced by what’s happening spiritually

But if you don’t know how to respond in spiritual warfare, you may lose battles God equipped you to win.

Why Understanding Spiritual Warfare Matters

Spiritual warfare isn’t about fear.
It’s about awareness, authority, and partnership with God.

Jesus said:

“Behold, I give unto you power… over all the power of the enemy.”
(Luke 10:19)

You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. But you must know:

What is resisting you

How to stand in authority

How to pray strategically

How to recognize spiritual delays

Many Christians live frustrated because they blame God for delays caused by the enemy.

Knowledge breaks that cycle.

What Battle Are You Facing Right Now?

God may have already released the answer you’ve been praying for.

So ask yourself:

“What am I facing right now that God has already given me victory over—but the enemy is resisting the manifestation?”

That situation may require not just prayer—but spiritual warfare.

Take authority. Stand firm. Fight spiritually. And watch what God begins to release in your life.

Win the Day: Why Your Victory Starts in the Evening

Most people talk about “winning the morning.” They talk about waking up early, praying early, and commanding the day at sunrise. But there’s a truth many believers overlook:

You cannot win the morning if you lose the evening.

In Scripture, a day does not begin at sunrise.
It begins in the evening — “And the evening and the morning were the first day” (Genesis 1).

That means if you truly want to “win the day,” your preparation must begin before the sun rises, not after.

1. Why Your Day Really Starts in the Evening

We often think the morning is where discipline begins. But according to biblical timing, the evening launches a new day. That means your spiritual focus, your habits, and your decisions the night before determine how your next morning unfolds.

If you went to bed spiritually empty, distracted, or prayerless…
you wake up already behind.

If you ended your night in the flesh, it will be harder to rise in the Spirit.

This is why evening preparation matters.

2. Why “Commanding Your Morning” Feels Difficult

Many believers struggle with waking up early to pray. They feel guilty. They think they lack discipline.

But often the issue is simpler:

You didn’t prepare your spirit the night before.

Without evening prayer, quietness, and shutting down distractions, the morning prayer becomes a battle. You’re starting cold, not warmed in the Spirit.

If you want consistent early-morning devotion,
start praying from the previous evening.

3. The Biblical Pattern of Fasting Also Begins in the Evening

We often say we’re “starting a fast in the morning.” And that’s why most people struggle.

Biblically, fasting begins with the start of the day — the evening, not sunrise.

If you begin your fast at night, you’re already 8–12 hours into it by the time you wake up. This makes the fast far easier and creates momentum.

For many people, dinner is the easiest meal to skip.
Eat breakfast, eat lunch…
skip dinner…

Go to bed…
Wake up already deep into the fast.

Now the morning becomes lighter. And the ripple effect continues throughout the day.

4. The Ripple Effect: Why Evening Discipline Creates Morning Power

When you:

Shut down your evening properly

Pray before bed

Skip the last meal

Enter rest with intention

…you wake up already spiritually and physically ahead.

This is how you truly win the day.

Not by hoping tomorrow morning goes well…

…but by setting it up tonight.

Conclusion

If you want stronger mornings, easier fasting, and more spiritual consistency:

Start winning your evenings.
Because spiritually and biblically…

The day begins when the sun goes down, not when the alarm rings.

When Life Feels Heavy

Everyone faces days when nothing seems to go right. Plans collapse, emotions sink, and it feels as if heaven has gone silent. Yet, in the middle of life’s storms, one truth remains unshaken — God is still good, even on a bad day.
Understanding this truth can transform how we respond to trials, pain, and disappointment. Let’s explore three biblical reasons why God’s goodness doesn’t fade when life does.

1. God Proved His Goodness at Calvary

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8

The cross remains the ultimate evidence of God’s goodness. When Jesus shed His blood at Calvary, He made the greatest sacrifice in human history — not for the righteous, but for sinners.
Even if God never did another thing for us, the fact that He gave His Son for our salvation would be enough proof of His goodness forever.
Our bad days do not erase the price He already paid; they only remind us how much we need the grace He freely gives.

2. Life Itself Is Proof That God Is Good

“For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” — Ecclesiastes 9:4

The very fact that you are alive means there is still hope. Life is not random; it is a gift sustained by God.
A bad day doesn’t mean a bad life. You may be surrounded by uncertainty, but as long as there is breath in your lungs, God is still giving you another chance — another sunrise, another opportunity to change, to rebuild, and to believe again.
Hope lives as long as you do, and hope itself is a testimony of God’s goodness.

3. A Bad Day Doesn’t Change Who God Is

Imagine a loving husband who provides for his spouse, gives gifts, and cares deeply. Now imagine that spouse comes home frustrated after a rough day at work. The difficult day doesn’t make the husband any less loving. His character hasn’t changed — only the circumstances have.
It’s the same with God. Your situation might change, your emotions might shift, but God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Bad things happen in a fallen world, but that doesn’t mean God caused them.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28

He doesn’t cause every bad thing that happens, but He can use every bad thing for your ultimate good. His goodness is not defined by how comfortable your life feels — it’s defined by who He is.

God’s Goodness Never Changes

A bad day is temporary; God’s character is eternal.
When you can’t trace His hand, trust His heart. When life hurts, remember the cross. When all else fails, remind yourself:
“God is good — all the time, and all the time, God is good.”

Jesus said, “Love your enemies” (Matthew 5:44). But if we are called to love our enemies, how can we still fight in spiritual warfare? The answer lies in understanding who the real enemy is and how to respond in a way that honors God while resisting the devil.

1. Identifying the Real Enemy

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us:

“We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Our real enemy is not people. It is:

Satan

Fallen angels

Demons and unclean spirits

When Jesus commanded us to love our enemies, He was talking about human beings—not the devil or demonic forces. People may hurt us, but often they are being influenced by spiritual forces they do not even realize are at work.

2. Loving the Person, Resisting the Spirit Behind Them

When someone mistreats you, pray for them. Realize that the hostility may be coming from a spirit influencing them, not from their true heart.
This means:

You don’t attack the person, but you do confront the spirit in prayer.

You walk in forgiveness while still taking authority over the demonic influence.

3. A Personal Example

I once worked under a supervisor who found fault with everything I did.

When I tried to work efficiently, she said I wasn’t being submissive.

When I followed her instructions exactly, she said I lacked initiative.

It seemed like no matter what I did, there was a problem. Eventually, I realized this was more than a personality conflict—it was a spiritual attack.

So I prayed—not against her—but against the spirit influencing her actions. I bound that influence in Jesus’ name and asked God for peace in our workplace. Soon after, our relationship improved dramatically.

4. The Biblical Approach

If we understand that the enemy is ultimately spiritual, then:

We engage in spiritual warfare through prayer, fasting, and the Word of God.

We show kindness to people, even when they are difficult.

We separate the person from the spirit influencing them.

Conclusion

Loving your enemies doesn’t mean tolerating demonic attacks. It means showing compassion to people while waging war in the spirit.
When you understand this distinction, you can walk in both obedience to Christ and victory over the enemy.

Scripture Focus:

Genesis 18:20–21
And the LORD said, “Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.”

When God visited Abraham, He revealed the reason for His visit: to investigate the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. A mysterious “cry” had come up before Him, prompting this divine intervention.

But this raises an important question—who was crying out to God?

Psalm 10:4
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

According to this verse, the wicked do not seek after God. So it’s unlikely that the people of Sodom were the ones crying out to Him. The residents of these cities were deeply entrenched in sin, and we see no evidence that they repented or sought God’s intervention.

Even the few righteous people at the time—Abraham, his household, and Lot—don’t seem to be the source of the outcry:

Abraham was interceding for the cities, not calling for judgment.

Lot, though living in Sodom, certainly wasn’t praying for its destruction.

So Who Made the Cry?

If no human was crying out, and the angels of God weren’t the source either, then the answer points to a startling possibility: the accuser himself—Satan.

The Bible calls Satan “the accuser of the brethren” (Revelation 12:10). He is the same one who tempts people into sin and then turns around to demand judgment for those very sins. It is very possible that Satan was crying out to God, demanding justice over Sodom’s iniquity. (see article for more info on how to overcome the devil’s accusation against us)

This explains why God said He would “go down and see.” If the cry was from one of His servants, God—being omniscient—wouldn’t need to “investigate.” But because the cry was not from man or angel under His covenant, and because God is perfectly just, He had to assess the matter Himself before proceeding with judgment.

Mercy Requires Legal Intercession

God did not casually dismiss the cry. He honored justice. Yet, in His mercy, He involved Abraham. Why?

Because Abraham, as a man, had legal standing to intercede on behalf of the cities. God’s justice could be satisfied if a man—not an angel or deity—stood in the gap. Abraham’s intercession wasn’t just emotional; it was legal. It provided the opening for God to extend mercy without compromising His justice.

Reflection:
The next time we see sin escalating in a nation or a community, remember this: the enemy may be crying out for judgment, but God is looking for someone to intercede.
Will you be that person?

Life Can Be a Lot

There are seasons when life feels like too much. Between ministry, family, work, and personal growth, it’s easy to feel buried beneath it all.

Personally, I wear many hats:

I lead an assembly

I serve in our wider church organization

I’m a husband and father to a newborn

I work a full-time job

I manage an online ministry

It’s a lot—and yes, it can feel overwhelming.

The Root of Overwhelm

But here’s the wisdom the Lord gave me:

Overwhelm doesn’t come simply from having too much to do—it comes from trying to process everything in your mind at the same time.

The Bible says in Isaiah 26:3:
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You.”

This scripture revealed the core issue: my mind was juggling too many thoughts at once. The peace of God couldn’t settle in because everything was swirling in my head.

A Simple Solution That Works

The Lord led me to do something very practical:
Write things down.

Instead of carrying all my responsibilities in my head, I began journaling and planning my day on paper. This simple step helped clear my mind and allowed me to focus on what truly matters—God’s presence and His Word.

You don’t need a fancy system. Just get it out of your head.

But if you’d like a tool that helps, I’ve linked one of my favorite Amazon planners here. It’s simple, effective, and helps bring structure to busy days. (affiliate link)

Meditate on the Word, Not the Work

Once I offload my mind onto paper, I turn my focus to Jesus. Meditating on Scripture—even if only briefly—restores peace and order to my spirit. I’m reminded that I don’t carry the weight of life alone.

This shift has helped me overcome overwhelm time and time again.

What About You?

This is the wisdom God gave me—and I pray it blesses you.

What has the Lord shown you about handling stress or overwhelm?
Let me know in the comments or share this with someone who might need it today.

Recently, someone approached me with a concern. After I posted pictures of my son following his dedication, a friend warned me about the spiritual dangers of sharing images of loved ones online—especially newborns. According to him, there’s a risk that someone involved in witchcraft could take the photo and place a curse on the child.

This idea came from a man who had once practiced witchcraft before converting to Christianity. He shared how curses can be released through photos and other personal items. It’s a common warning in spiritual warfare circles, especially from those who once walked in darkness and now testify of their experiences in the light.

But is this fear biblically sound?

Discernment Over Fear

If you choose not to post pictures of your baby online for privacy or personal reasons, that’s perfectly fine. But choosing not to do so because you fear someone might curse your child through that photo—now that’s a different conversation.

Much of what we’ve learned about spiritual warfare comes from people who once served the kingdom of darkness. While these testimonies offer valuable insight, we must always weigh them against Scripture. The enemy is the father of lies (John 8:44), and even those who were once in the occult may have been fed deceptions designed to cause fear or misguide believers even after their salvation.

What Scripture Teaches About Curses

The key biblical principle to remember is this: “The curse causeless shall not come” (Proverbs 26:2). In other words, curses need a legal right—an open door—to land and take effect.

This is illustrated clearly in the story of Balaam in Numbers 22–25. Balaam was hired to curse the Israelites, but he couldn’t—because God found no iniquity or perverseness in them (Numbers 23:21). The enemy had no legal access. Eventually, Balaam advised the Moabite king to cause Israel to sin through idolatry and sexual immorality. That’s what opened the door to a curse—not a photo, not a spell, but sin.

Can a Baby Be Cursed Through a Photo?

Only if there’s iniquity—whether inherited through generational sin or caused by the parents—can a curse take root. If there’s no open door, a photo alone cannot enable the enemy to curse your child. The real concern is not the medium (the photo), but the spiritual condition of the person.

Even without a picture, the enemy operates in the spiritual realm. If there’s an opening, a curse can come. If there is no opening, they can’t touch the child—photo or not.

How to Protect Your Children Spiritually

Spiritual protection doesn’t come by hiding from the world—it comes through holiness, repentance, and right standing with God.

Here’s how to safeguard your children and loved ones:

Deal with sin – Walk in righteousness and repentance.

Break generational iniquity – Through prayer and spiritual alignment.

Confess and cleanse – If sin occurs, confess and be cleansed (1 John 1:9).

Pray covering prayers – Continually intercede for your family.

Final Thought

The power of the enemy lies not in your baby’s picture—but in unrepented sin. Don’t let fear rule your choices. Let the Word of God be your guide. Post or don’t post—but let it be a decision led by wisdom, not by fear.
